1. AUTOMATIC EDGEBANDING MACHINE Model GTM 4/3 – GRIGGIO

The automatic edgebanding machine model GTM 4/3 manufactured by the Italian company GRIGGIO is a new model launched in 2017 and replaces the machine model GB 4/3. It is a new concept designed for edgebanding straight panels with PVC, ABS. The machine has the following working groups:
a) – gluing group for hot melt adhesive with rapid heating, completely teflon-coated, for easier cleaning
b) – group for pressing the edge onto the panel – equipped with three rollers: the first large diameter roller is also motorized, and the other two rollers are free and have opposing tapers.
c) – cutting group with high frequency motors, for cutting at 90º the excess edging from the front and back of the panel

d) – tilting milling group with two independent high frequency motors for cutting the excess edging from the top and bottom of the panel
• motor power 0.55 kW
e) – scraper group for an optimal finishing of the 2 mm PVC or ABS edging applied to the edge of the panel
• pair of knives supplied used in the case of 2 mm thick ABS edging
f) – brush group
• with two independent motors, for cleaning / polishing the edging

Maximum panel thickness 45 mm.
The minimum width of the panels is 90 mm.
The minimum length of the panels is 200 mm.
The speed of advance of the panels is 9.5 m/min.
The excess of the border compared to the thickness of the panel is 4 mm (2+2).
The pressure in the pneumatic system is 6 bar.
Inverter with a frequency of 200 Hz for driving the motors with a speed of 12,000 rpm.

General characteristics:
The machine frame is made of a single piece of steel sheet, of high rigidity.
The system of advance of the panels in the machine is of the caterpillar type, with skids covered in high-adhesion rubber.
The skids slide on two steel guides, one guide being round and the other flat, tempered and ground, which guarantees the rectilinearity of the advance and resistance to lateral loads (coming from the operating tools).
Upper pressing group, made of aluminum, with rubber pressure wheels mounted on bearings to ensure better linear movement of the piece.
